Track of the Day: ‘Burning Your House Down’
Back in the early 1990s there was an amazingly retro psychedelic garage rock outfit from London called Thee Hypnotics. They did their best to distill a perfect blend of the MC5 and Jimi Hendrix. The shouter in that outfit was a fellow named Jim Jones, and he’s back in the music game in this new decade. This time, he’s fronting The Jim Jones Revue, and it seems he’s finally left the ’60s behind—and traveled back to the ‘50s.
